Jon A. Zepnick

Jon A. Zepnick is an experienced trial attorney who has been practicing law since 2002, representing clients in both pre-litigation and litigation matters involving personal injury. His practice focuses on negligent security, motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, and civil rights.

Throughout his career, Jon has obtained high-value recoveries for his clients in negligent security, motor vehicle, and premises liability cases. A seasoned litigator, he has tried numerous cases to verdict in both New York and Florida, bringing extensive courtroom experience and a comprehensive understanding of the litigation process to every case he handles.

Jon began his legal career in Florida representing insurance companies in insurance defense matters. That experience provided him with valuable insight into how insurers evaluate, defend, and litigate claims-knowledge he now brings to his representation of injured individuals. He later returned to New York, where he worked as a trial attorney representing victims of motor vehicle negligence and premises liability before returning to South Florida in 2006.

Jon’s legal experience is further distinguished by a background that began even before law school. As a Private Investigator, he worked alongside both plaintiff and defense attorneys, assisting with cases from their earliest stages through trial. This experience gave him a unique perspective on case investigation, evidence development, litigation strategy, and the preparation necessary to build a compelling case.

Over the course of his career, Jon has handled matters that have attracted media attention, with newsworthy cases featured by The Miami Herald, WSVN 7, and other television and media outlets.

Jon earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in New York. He is admitted to practice in Florida, New York, and Wyoming, as well as before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

With more than two decades of legal experience, Jon brings together a distinctive combination of investigative experience, insurance-defense knowledge, plaintiff advocacy, and extensive trial experience. Outside of the practice of law, Jon is an avid animal lover and has three rescue dogs. He also maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys kickboxing several times a week.
